Hi - The same thing happened to me a little while ago. I was worried I would have to get a new one. Fortunately, I was able to fix it myself. I hope this works for you too.

Water in the bottom after cleaning means that the dishwasher is not able to drain the water out properly. Just like your bathtub might back up or drain slowly, your dishwasher might also have a clogged drain.
First thing, make sure your sink drain is clear. If you have a garbage disposal unit, run it to make sure there is nothing clogging your sink drain. Usually, a dishwasher drains into the same piping as your kitchen sink, and a clog there can cause your dishwasher to back up.
Next, empty your dishwasher. You should see a grate at the bottom of the dishwasher. That is where the water drains. Usualy, with a screwdriver, you can remove the screws and the grate covering the drain. Make sure there is nother obstructing the grate or drain. That worked for me. There was something caught in the dishwasher drain that was blocking it.

Hope this works for you too. If not, see if you can find a trusted home repair / appliance repair technician through a referral. Good luck.

I've had that before too. Basically, the hoses get clogged really easily because they're so small. Run lots of very hot water though it. You can also get a snake (like a stiff piece of wire) and push it through to unclog.

In the future, make sure that you use only a small amount of soap and rinse the dishes well before you put them in the dish washer.
The chunks of food can help clog it up.

It's not draining. If the cycle completed to the end, either the pump is burned out or there is a clog in the drain.

Check at the air gap. You may be plugged up between the line to your gabage disposal and the air gap. Also check that there is not blockage at the inlet side of the air gap.
Take the hose off your gabage disposal side to your air gap and be sure it is clear. The take the top of the air gap crossover plastic part and check to see if this is clear as well. Should be good to go.
If these are not your problem please send me a note to see what else it may be. long6ddd@yahoo.com

The cycle might have been interrupted.

The water is removed by a pump -- it might have failed. A handy DIYer can probably replace it.

It may not be sitting level. If you have a level you can check, then adjust the feet under it. Not easy, but I had to do that to mine.
