My mom's got one of those plastic things you put over tablecloths so the tablecloth doesn't get dirty, and I accidently put some sticky christms tags on it. now's there's a big sticky spot on the plastic thing, and I don't know how to get it off.

What do I do?

Please help me. Mom's really mad.

WD-40 will work without melting the plastic. Just spray it on, let it sit for 5 minutes and wipe it off.

Hot water and a rough sponge works wonders. Let the hot water soak into the sticky bit for a few minutes before scrubbing it. You can also use your fingernails to remove the sticky patch after it's been wet, if it's so sticky that the sponge isn't really helping much.

It looks like your Mum's idea of a plastic cover on top of the tablecloth was a GREAT idea - at least the tags didn't stick to the actual tablecloth!

Oh dear! Not that I understand why your mom's freaking out like that, but that can't be much fun.

Okay, normally I would suggest something like Goop-off. But I suspect that wouldn't be such a good idea on the plastic. Try soapy water and baking soda.

Good luck.

Windex works great. Spray on and let it set, rub it in with your fingernails or a soft abrasive sponge. Then wipe it away

go to your nearest wal-mart and get this stuff called goo-off. Its found in the paint section. This stuff takes black marks off of floors and anything sticky off of anything.
