Try rubbing dish soap into the grease spots and letting it sit before he washes.

Good luck!

I generally make a mixture of 2-4 different pre-treatments and put it on the stain. I leave it for several hours, and then put it into the washer. If it is lighter but not gone, I repeat. Sometimes I leave it on for a full day. Don't put it into the dryer until the stain is out completely, because the heat will "set" it. This has been very effective for many different types of stains, including grease.

those sort of stains are extra good to get out in case you placed the article in the dryer after washing it. Drying it contraptions the stain much extra. I even have discovered that employing first gentle dish detergent on the grease and letting it set for an afternoon till now washing it has consistently labored. My daughter have been given axle grease on a gown and that i used some kinda Orange cleanser on it and it labored super. additionally goop and works too.

Lestoil is a product you can buy from the hardware store, and it works great on taking grease out of a shirt...dont put it in the dryer until you know it has come out. (Hang to dry and then check). Hope it works

if you havent washed it yet, try taking some liquid detergent and rubbing it into the stain from the inside of the clothing, to "push" the stain to the surface of the fabric instead of working it deeper into the fabric, then wash as usual.
