Key word here being NEED and not other frivolous stuff like Cable TV, Internet, Cell Phone, etc that will just suck the money out of me.
Here are some things that I think I need, please pitch in and help me complete my list so I know how much money I am looking at to complete my move in.
Basic apartment stuff:
Telephone service
Telephone and answering machine
Iron and ironing board
Mop and bucket
Vacuuming machine
All-purpose cleaner
Floor lamps
Bedroom/Living Room:
Bed and bedding materials
Kitchen:
Table and chairs
Frying pan and soup pan
Plates, bowls, and cups
Forks, knives, spoons
Dish-washing sponge and soap
Dish-drying rack
Bathroom:
Toilet bowl cleaner
Toilet bowl brush
Toilet plunger
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Hair brush and products
Towels and floor mats
Anything I'm missing? I just want to cover my very basics and then when I save up some money I can buy other stuff that I want and don't necessarily need to survive and work.

A couple more that you may find necessary!!!!
A/ Man... good for the 'basics' of lovemaking!!! Batteries are getting expensive!!!
B/ SKY tv... if you don't fancy CABLE!!!! Otherwise, you'll be bored senseless unless you have A/ (see above!!!)
C/ True... the internet is NOT essential... but a very good second to see what you're missing, via A/ (see above!!!)
D/ A HOUSE PHONE.... to talk, as you believe that a cell phone is a non-essential!!... to the likes of A/ (see above!!!)
E/ A weapon!! handy for killing attackers, of the gendre A/ (see above!!)
Take care... f8-)

Toilet paper! Brillo, food storage containers, trash cans, utensils, pot holders, There are some things that you may be able to mesh together to conserve too, ie In the Kitchen area you can get a package of cups, glasses, plates, bowls & silverware for around $17. Living room and dining furniture can also be accessorized to accommodate your needs.
I would seriously consider your finances before I made the move. When we moved to Florida I sold everything in NY. I think that was a good decision but it cost us nearly $10,000 to reestablish ourselves here. COUNT THE COST!

You don't have a couch or chair listed for your living room. Plus, unless you plan on cooking a lot, you could save for a table and chair for the kitchen which allow more money for extras such as a microwave.

You have covered the basics very well, just remember to do the same when you grocery shop. Basics are eggs & bacon or sausage, some lunchmeat and bread, milk & juice. Soup ingrediants and some fruit and cheese. Much luck to you on your independant step into the world.

You will want a couple more pans- Including a large one for making spaghetti. And you might want a baking dish or two, and a couple of dish towels. And don't forget your electricity.
Other than that, you have your basics pretty well covered.
Congratulations on your apartment!
