I own a solid wood furniture store and am considering buying some product which contains lunmber-core. i researched it some online and there isn't much information out on it. I would like to find out if it has the same qualities as regular ply-wood veneer, if it's considered solid wood, if you can fix dents and scratches like solid wood, etc. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for one of those things that are like bookshelves but are made so you can put knick-knacks and other things on them. I want the kind with glass doors. Is that what curio cabinet means? I've also read the term accent cabinet. Is that the same?

I just moved into a duplex and I can hear everything through a shared bedroom wall. The duplex used to be a 1 bedroom, but the owners took the master bedroom from next door and split it in half, thus adding on a second bedroom to my duplex. The wall that was built to split the master bedroom is the one I can hear everything through, what can I do to get/give some more privacy?

I have dark green outdoor chairs and a small table over the years they have weathered and lost their shine. What can I use to clean and restore the shine? I am concerned that whatever I use will not come off on our clothing when sitting in the chairs.

Part of my job is to clean restrooms. A friend recently told me that thin latex gloves that the company gives us may not be effective at keeping out germs. She said that low quality gloves may contain holes that are large enough to let germs through, but not really noticeable to the wearer. Should I buy my own reusable gloves or use the thin ones from the company?

There is this srew that must have been tightened by a machine. And I been straining and pulling with my ratchet and socket to loosen it but its on wayy tooo tight. I tried wd-40 and that did not work. So is there a power tool they can loosen it. Do they sell power ratchets at hardware stores that can be put on power drills.

i got up this morning and three of my electrical outlets are not working, one is outside and the other two are indoors, i am guessing they are on the same circuit cause thet are close to each other, but there is no breaker flipped...we do have a big inflatable snowman in our yard with an extension cord run to it and when i went to see why the snowman wasn't working the plug in to where it plugs in to the extension cord was under water, we had a big rain last night, could this be the problem? what happened? but like i said before no breakers are flipped

I was thinking of getting a forced air heater for working in the garage. Between propane and kerosene heaters I was wondering if anyone would know which one would be cheaper to use fuel wise and which would be safer carbon monoxide wise. I know they both give off CO and it needs to be vented but I thought I heard somewhere that kerosene burns cleaner. I appreciate any input.

I need to replace a plug on a lamp. I bought a Cooper (?) snap on replacement plug, but it didn't come with any instructions. There does not appear to be any terminal screws, nor does it appear to open up in anyway. There IS a small metal tab, that I think is important, but I don't know what I am supposed to do with it. Also, do I remove any of the wiring's casing before I slide it into the plug?

We have 100 sq ft (kitchen ) to be tiled. THe tiles are $1.79, have no idea how much the other materials cost. Were getting it done at what I think is a deal for $800 Total (includes everything). This is from a small one many company. We had other quote from big companies, Empire flooring said $2,300, and Carpet exchange said around $1,200.
Just wondering how much it should be.
Thanks

My friend just bought a used side by side. The bottom half of the freezer freezes, but the top half of it is at 30-40 degrees F.
Same with the fridge part, lower half is good while the top is around 50 degrees F. Thanks in advance.

I have a compost bucket in my backyard that I throw kitchen refuse into and then give to the local Co-op. Is it alright to put wheat pasta in the compost? I made some Anne's macaroni and cheese, but just ended up cooking it for too long and never added the cheese. The pasta was whole wheat shells.
