I live in Massachussets, and is it's chilly up here already -not really cold- and Idon't know if it's too late.

Please let me know what I should buy and how to use the spreader, since I have no experience. Last year, my husband used a whole bag in our front yard alone, and burned the lawn. I will do it this year, but do not want to make the same mistake.

We had a power outage yesterday while I was preheating the oven. Now it won't heat up at all. Everything else works. I don't want to call in a repair guy if there is something I can do myself. I'm having a hard time finding any troubleshooting tips anywhere on the net either. I hope somebody knows something about this kind of stuff because I don't know where to start.

A friend who runs a golf course finds them in the mole trail and stabs them in their little mole head. Clearly, I would like a more peaceful solution.

I'm replacing the sink strainer/basket in my kitchen sink and used rubbing alcohol to assist in removing the old putty. The area is now clean and awaiting the application of plummers putty. Is there any type of residue that I should worry about affecting the adhesive of the plummers putty or should I be good to go? I know that alcohol evaporates, but the area just feels too slick now. Maybe it's just super clean???

I;ve checked for worn wires that might be shorting the electricalsystem and removed the wire from the magneto connected to the flywheel braking switch and still no spark. The machine was running fine in September when the weather was warm.

In one of our downstairs rooms only, smells like bad eggs and boiled cabbage/nappies! It seems to be worst by the skirting board. We live in a 10 year old detached barn conversion and the floor is wooden flooring. Should I call a plumber, heating engineer or what? I dont want to get a £100 call out for being told nothing to do with plumbing so if someone could suggest anything that might narrow it down? I would be most grateful, thanks in anticipation! There is nothing in the room that could cause the smell (dead body or moudly food hiding anywhere as we have had the place apart!).

Thanks for your help.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how to make a spinning dance pole? What kind of parts would I need? I know most of the factory made ones consist of at least 6 inch base plates and 6 ball bearings but is there any parts I could buy from home depot to make a spinning pole?

I bought a house about 3 months ago, and I'm just now noticing after having washed my entire wardrobe over ten times now, that every piece of clothing that I own that has the least bit of white within it is stained rust color. Also, I have to clean a lot of rust like build up from my bathtub constantly and the same type of stain appears where the water sits in the bowl of the toilet. I'm just wondering what I'm going to need to do with my water to get it out? Water treatment system, new well? More simple solutions? Thanks in advance!

We have been growing this bonsai tree for 5 months and all it has is small leaves. not even real branches. just branches that look like stems. what the leaves are growing on is just one thin stem.

Right now it's winter, and we don't know whether to put it away in a warm place, but there won't be any sunlight .. or just keep it near the window with the window closed.

is something wrong with our 'tree'?
