First candles are made from different waxes, beeswax, parafin wax, and different hardening additives. Additives are used for the longer and harder burning qualities. These are heated to liquid form then a Fragrance Oil is added to scent the candle wax and a colorant added (even white colorant is added to white candlewax). A pre-prepared candle form is used by adding the wick and securing it at the bottom and at the top to keep it straight. Then the hot or melted wax is slowly poured into the form, and left to harden as it cools. Scent must be added at the last minute as the heat can greatly reduce the effectivness.
