We had a power outage yesterday while I was preheating the oven. Now it won't heat up at all. Everything else works. I don't want to call in a repair guy if there is something I can do myself. I'm having a hard time finding any troubleshooting tips anywhere on the net either. I hope somebody knows something about this kind of stuff because I don't know where to start.

Grandmother had one, and the oven didn't work, it turn out to the electronic control unit for the oven.

Check the breakers, they probably popped when the power surged back on. I fnot that unplug it and remove the heating elements from the inside of the oven and inspect them for "burnt" spots, also check the wires that connect to the elements. Start with the breaker first.

Turn it off, unplug it, plug it back in again. Basically, reboot it.
