I just got 3 acres for my Birthday and I want to clear the land myself. I am a young medium build girl and want to find an easy to handle, but heavy duty, hand held machine to chop all the bamboo between the larger trees down. I don't want to burn since there are homes with children around it. Any suggestions on how to get this task done? OH and I will use a miny Bob cat min dozer in the end once I decide what trees I want to keep. The trees are the reason why I don't knock everything down with a big dozer.

My hedge has gotten quite high now, and where the branches are quite thick it prevents the regular hedge trimmers to cut through it. Can anyone recommend what I could use to get the height down?

How hard would it be to take it apart? Is that a piece that goes bad? Do bearings need servcing? The furnace is about 7 years old.

I know most sweeps are 1.5", I was hoping to find a longer one, or an idea (other than buying a new storm door) to extend the height by 4 inches.

It doesn't automatically latch when the door closes. Maybe there is a spring in it, that is not overcoming the friction. It's a typical storm door latch, push-button on the outside and a small horizontal handle on the inside.

beech tree sheds it's leaves the same time as other desciduos trees in late autumn. And can someone tell me why the autumn colours of the leaves vary from region to region. For exmple where I live the autumn leaves have little or no colour whilst 30 miles inland the colours are a glorious variety of colours.

I recently installed a new tub and shower in our bathroom. For obvious reasons we had the water shut off. Now since we have the water back on every time you flush the toilet the pipes make a bang sound at the completion of filling the toilet tank. I understand that this is called "water hammer". However, I don't know how to make it stop. Any advice anyone has is appreciated.

It's dripping from a joint. I tried putting all-weather sealant on it but it hasn't stopped. It was newly installed a year ago.
