our soil is very thick and tough...almost like gunky oil buildup in your car. We would like to start planting stuff in our flower beds, but it seems impossible because of this tough soil. i figure we just need to dissolve the soil.

Ceiling is 96" high with medium size round light fixture in center. Bedroom has 2 smaller walls and they both meet at doorway, then 4 large ones. One of the large walls has 2 very large windows. I have 2 1/2 gallons of "Montego Bay" http://www.materials-world.com/paint-colors/pittsburgh_paints/pittsburgh-paint-12.htm
And I have 1 1/2 gallons of "Hypnotic Sea"
http://www.materials-world.com/paint-colors/pittsburgh_paints/pittsburgh-paint-23.htm
Both colors are at bottom right on charts. How should I use these 2 colors in this bedroom to get a bigger feel? Should I do all walls Montego and ceiling Hypnotic or? Any advice is always appreciated.

Our stupid garbage collectors always throw our trash can lids and small trash cans in their truck. We have to put the lid on when we take the can to the curb because alot of kids and pets are in our area and they might get into the trash if there were no lid. We have lost 2 lids (and since you can't just buy a lid we have to buy new can each time) and a small kitchen sized trash can this way. Any ideas on how to stop this? Why would the garbage collectors do this over and over? Does this happen to you? It drives me crazy!!

I would like to buy- cash out- a dwelling. I have a very small budget ($10,000. +/-) and 4 kids. I've heard of people buying kits for barns or even very large storage sheds and repurposing them for homes. If anyone has suggestions of something that would work for this, I'd love to hear your ideas... websites of people who have done so successfully would be super, too...

As of the same concept of flushing the toilet, we can use the same idea to clean the sink. Idea is to use to have it "dirtier" places like big kitchens, workshops or art studios where people get their hands real dirty.

Even after a wash the clothes smell like mold so bad I have to take them to a laundry mat to get the smell out. Any body know any solutions to this problem? Is there a place where water accumulates that I don't know of? The machine is 2 years old and I clean the front filter all the time but this does no good.I have well water, does this have any thing to do with it.? My water other wise does not smell.

My husband and I would like to install a woodstove in the house we are renting, and the landlord wants a professional to inspect the chimney before we can do so (don't blame him one bit!) does anyone know about how much it would cost? In maine, the state I live in a level two inspection is required, if that makes a difference!

its a lift master garage opener. Just wondering if we got a new remote and program it, would he still be able to open it later on if he had intentions to steel stuff?
or would it change the code of the opener?

The pen didn’t bust on me, its just a one line mark 2inches I accidently made while putting my backpack on after class with my pen in my hand. The shirt is red and 100% cotton. Now I read lots of Y! Answers that say hair spray, which I have as well as alcohol square swabs. But I need to know how do I apply it or apply any other recommended solution. Do I just spray it and let set or do I brush it in, or spray and throw on the washer? And do I add detergent? No sorry I can't let it go its my favorite shirt. Thanks!

After finding a sewage leak under my home, I crawled into it and fixed it. The plumber wanted nearly 200 dollars to do it. My girlfreind thinks im gross now. I showered until there was no hot water left and used a whole bottle of anti bacterial soap.
What would you have done?

I am doing my science fair project on plant growth with different colors of sun light. I am putting transparency film over the leaves and seeing which grows best.
http://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentoring/project_ideas/PlantBio_p015.shtml?from=Home
I don't know what plant to choose though. It needs to be leafy and healthy and i need to be able to not kill because i kill everything i grow without even trying
