its a lift master garage opener. Just wondering if we got a new remote and program it, would he still be able to open it later on if he had intentions to steel stuff?
or would it change the code of the opener?
thank you.

you can purchase a compatible remote, and if you have your manual.....read the programming info. Openers have thousands of possible codes and can be reprogrammed. If you do not have the manual, look at the opener find the model and serial numbers go to the lift master site, and proceed from there.

Ask the person who installed it. Have them change the code and get a new remote. The next time you rent out a room better have the guy leave the car parked outside, or have them leave a deposit in the event they neglect to return it. The deposit should equal the amount you would have to pay to get a new one and program it with new code.

You need to change the code on the opener NOW. He can open it at will until you do. Then get a new remote and program it to match your new code on the opener.

Seriously, get to it, otherwise padlock your garage door tonight! He may not realize he has it, then again he may and is waiting to come back............

ring the company, they would be the best to ask, for safety reasons.
