One of my socks has a hole and I'm going to throw it away. What should I do with the other one?

I use them for dusting clothes. Just put your hand inside like a puppet and use as a wiper or duster.

I find this happens in my family's laundry. I keep them for a while in case a similar pair gets a hole in one, thus would be a new mate for that other lone sock. BUT, what one really should do is toss out both socks because it's really a waste of space and effort to wait on a sock to get a hole in it. Plus, if you get socks for Christmas, you will soon have a new supply!

Make a sock puppet
Use it for dusting
Donate it to a preschool or elementry school to make a sock puppet or something.
Use on your golf clubs to cover them. If you golf.
Use as a rag to clean.
If you or someone you know is moving use to put fragile small stuff in it.
Stuff it with cat nip and give it to your cat.
Put a tennis ball in it and tie it off so a smalll dog can play fetch.
If you have some socks that are exactly like it, keep it and use it if one of them get a hole in it you'll have a pair.

I buy my socks in 6 packs. That way I can just pitch the ones that wear out and use the leftovers to make a few more pairs.

i hang onto the extra in case another sock from a pair goes bad then i have a match!

spray a few cotton balls with your favorite scent or a few drops of essential oils, put them inside the sock, and throw it under your front seat to keep your vehicle smelling nicely.
