Every spring I do all the tye dying for six hundred 6th graders at camp. My hands and arms always end up a mess..along with my clothes, the floor. lol.
I tried all sorts of cleaners on my hands and in the end, washing the dishes for several days did the trick. It will take a week for your finger nails, etc to come clean.
Once I was pulled over by the State Police (for speeding) and my hands were blood red up to my elbow. The officer tried to ignore them but finally he asked "Ma'am, is there anything you want to tell me about why your hands are so red?" I was worried he thought I might be an ax murderer so when I explained everything we had a good laugh. In the end I didn't get a ticket either.

Just did some tie dyeing on Sat. I use commercial dyes. It will stain your hands for a couple of days, Just wash your hair or do dishes, it will eventually wash out. Other than that, they have this stuff called Redrun, but you would have to order it from Dharma or Pro Chem and Dye. By the time you got it, your hands will already be washed away from the excess dyes. In a pinch Lava might be your answer.

my friend and i tye dyed shirts this past summer and our gloves busted as well. It took a combination of hairspray, acne face wash and just scrubbing for a while for the dye to fade but it wasn't completely gone for about 2 or 3 days. Good LUCK!

bleach solution.....works OK but not on the finger nails which are more porous. Actually I just go swimming and after an hour it's usually all gone.

Caught quick enough vegetable oil and salt works fairly well, cup your hand, pour in salt, about a 1/4 cup, add vegetable soil...almost equal amount and then scrub.

Well the only thing I can think of would be to pour a little bleach on your hands ard wash them off right away...but I don't know if that would be a good thing to do...=/

Otherwise I would just leave it the way it is. What's wrong with showing a little school spirit!? Ha!

Good luck, anyways! =]

hairspray works best and is the least offensive to your hands. you may need to do it a few times but it will work.
