Mustard seeds won't grow into trees. Mustard doesn't come from a tree.

Depends on your faith. The passage is not correct horticulturally, but is a parable. It is used to illustrate how doing something small can yield great rewards.

Mustard is actually several genera of small forbs/even smallish shrubs, but in no way could they be considered a tree.

y'all are all wrong about it not growing into a tree.. it does.. it's just not the kind that we eat as a condiment..
