I want to get a Butterwort (Carnivorous plant), but I don't want to get one unless I know how to keep it alive.

Any advice?

I want to get a Butterwort (Carnivorous plant), but I don't want to get one unless I know how to keep it alive. Also, I live in NC (North Carolina) and want to know the best "version" of this plant to get

Any advice?

There are different kinds of butterworts. There are warm-temperate butterworts that grow in North America and then there are tropical butterworts which require no dormancy. I would suggest going to this site: http://www.cobraplant.com/cmd.php?af=385276
Here they have the plants at a reasonable price plus care sheets on each plant. If you are still confused, click on the 'Ask the Experts' link and fire away. There is an option called 'Go Fetch Spike' where you provide the region in which you live and your growing conditions and Spike tells you the plants that are suitable for you.
