As of the same concept of flushing the toilet, we can use the same idea to clean the sink. Idea is to use to have it "dirtier" places like big kitchens, workshops or art studios where people get their hands real dirty.

When water supplies become limited and we aren't free to use so much.......then yes, we will be looking for innovative ways to eliminate larger volumes of waste with the least amount of water. Actually, how do they wash their hands in space? This may already be in use.
