We live in England and have found a couple of massive spiders in the shed. We have never seen any like these before. Very big bodies, hairy. Does anyone know what type of spiders they might be and can they bite?

Hello! I moved into my current house 3 years ago. My next door neighbor already had a fence up on one end. Now a new family moved in behind my house few months back. And he put up a fence around his house and that took care of the back. Should I offer to split the cost of the fence that adjoins the backyards? If so, am I obligated to pay something to my next door neighbor as well? eventhough the fence was there before I moved in? I may eventually put up a fence on my own... What's the unspoken good neighbor policy? Thanks!

OK, so I am moving in about a month. I have lived in the same apartment for five years, and have collected a lot of "stuff." I want the move to be smooth, so I ask - those of you have moved recently, (or not so recently) what advice do you offer? How can I make things go easier? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a front loader washer where the clothes really never get that wet in the washer. I have used the special detergent that costs a small fortune. I have used fabric softner, but I still cannot get the mildew smell out of my towels. Finally I gave up and bleached some of my towels, but now they are discolored. I don't want all of my towels to be a funky pink color. Help!!!

Hello and thanks for reading my question,
I have a little gardening area by my front door (only about 4 feet wide and 6 feet long) and it is just being taken over by weeds. I really want to plant some pretty flowers there but I have no idea how to go about fixing up the garden. There is some nasty old mulch and old plastic underneath so I know I would have to replace them, but I am really new at all this and would like to know where I should start. And any other garden/decorating tips for outside would be a huge help! My front/back yard looks awful and needs some love but I'm horrible at thinking of good ideas! I live in base housing so everyones yards are pretty and mines just BLAH!
Any help would be great!
Thank you! =)

I am a pretty good painter and have made a handpainted banner that could be personalized for a baby's room and I have an ivy themed floorcloth that I also did. Do you think there could be a market for these things and how much do you think they should be priced. They are 2 foot by 3 foot, handpainted, with a non-yellowing varnish to protect them...

I have not mowed my lawn for over 3 weeks because it looks like straw with weeds sticking out. We had a really hot dry spell. Suddenly for the last coupld of days, it finally rained a couple of times and things are starting to grow. Now I am going to get out the push mower and mow down the weeds sticking up.
What kind of "weed and feed" should I use to make my lawn look nice now that is raining again and how long will it take to recover?

I'm from a dry desert climate and have now moved to a very, very humid climate with temps in the 80s-90s. I live on the second floor of a house and have found the heat absolutely unbearable. No air conditioning in the house. Any advice on cooling this place down so that I can sleep? Specifically, what should I do to make the humidity bearable?

A house with 3 bedrooms or a double-wide. We have some land picked out because developers have bought our rental. I like houses and the way they look, but I live in a double-wide now and am kinda spoiled by the huge rooms in here vs. your avg. single story home. If I buy a new double wide or modular home would I be wasting my money. The size doublewide we were looking at costs $114k and is a modular home with 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths (master suite) and bonus room.

I have a toilet Im setting and theres a gap beetween the toilet and the wax ring. I already am using a taller ring and its in a poured slab so it will be a job to mess with the flange itself. Plus its a office building that I am leasing so I dont want to do anymore than I have to. Using two rings was suggested to me, but Ive never had to do it before. Always been able to use short or tall wax ring. Please if you dont what you are talking about dont answer. Thank you.

We have well water and a leach bed septic system, I guess you would say. There have been approximately 7 people on average for 9 months & 4 people on average for 4 months time total. I have been told it needs done yearly and I have also been told it needs done every couple of years. I have no idea what is correct and don't want to find out the hard way!
