It's the stuff that tan's you, and it's white when you put it on, and I didn't think it would affect my undies. I have tried bleach in a 60 deg wash, but no difference, and am worried about doing too much coz of the elastic etc. It's only a couple of months old and I'm annoyed. We all know bra's aren't cheap!!!!

Our electrical contractor completed rough in on our house and garage, and after failing and doing repairs, did finally pass inspection for rough in. He quoted us $24,000 for the entire job, and is billing us $17,000 as 70% of the quote. I asked if 70% of the work was done yet, and he replied that it didn't matter. It is their policy to get paid 70% when completing rough in. He never did finish the job (from last October), and we had to do all the finish wiring ourselves. That included all of the wiring to the main panel, circuit breakers, furnace and water heaters, and all switches, outlets, branch circuit junction boxes, and lighting fixtures. My question is this: Is completing rough in truly 70% of the labor and materials?

We can't afford to have it professionally removed. I'd just like to be able to "kill" it somehow and then cut it down even with the grass. Is this even possible?

I left some wet clothes in the washing machine for a few days, and now it has an awful, moldy, musty smell. Any home remedies for getting rid of the smell? Thanks.

We just installed a brand new window unit and we cannot get it to tilt back. Any ideas? It is almost completely level. The back of the unit is not resting on anything, so I am fairly clueless on how to get it to tilt back. Thank you for your ideas.

I planted day lillies and calla lillies in the early spring and they are coming up very nicely, but there are still no blooms on them yet. Is it just not time for them to bloom yet or did I do something wrong?

I have a philadelphus coronarius aureus. Every year when it blooms, the flowers are hidden by excess leaf/ stem growth which gives the appearance that the bush is blooming internally! I prune it with shears in June when the flowers have finished, back to its globular shape. Quite some growth needs to be taken off as by this time the bush has nearly doubled in size. How can I get the flowers visible? What am I doing, or not doing, wrong?

I've read that my tomato plants need 1 to 1 1/2 inches of water every week. How do I measure this? I live in So Cal so the only water these plants get is the water I put on them. I want to make sure I'm not over watering.

OK, it's a beautiful day. We live in the city but have an oasis for a backyard. There is a major mill renovation down the street from us and now there is an overpopulation of rats in our neighborhood. In my opinion, one rat is an overpopulation but I digress...I called the city to put bait traps out however for today, I'd really like to take my daughter outside and cannot becuase this freaking rat is back there by my fence and will not leave. Does anyone know how to scare the tar out of a rat with household products? BTW yes, we keep our yard clean. the rats are unavoidable in the city, especially with major construction. we've done really well making our yard not rat friendly but our backyard neighbors have a dog and don't clean up it's poop. the city won't do a thing so i'm just looking for an immediate fix. my poor daughter is stuck inside on this beautiful day and that's not cool...
