where can I find those hinged room dividers - you know like the ones women used back in the 18/1900's to change behind? I really need one. any help would be much appreciated!

a general google search for "room dividers" should help - if you can't find one you like, you can make on with plywood & hinges - cover with a fabric or wallpaper in your own decor - you may need to add some type of bracket to help hold it upright.

They are called privacy screens and usually fold for storage but when partially opened, they stand without any other support.

I think I've seen them in the Penney's catalog too, and Domestications.com.
