I have A/C in my apartment but it doesn't reach my daughter's bedroom. We can't install a window air conditioner. What are some ways, other than leaving a fan running all night indirectly in her room, to keep her cool? She's 22 months and wears only a onesie to bed.

I am a first time gardener. I decided that I want a flower garden in front of my house. I was just wondering if and what kind of herbs I can plant with my flowers.

The cold water runs to the shower and the sink, but only works in the sink. I don't know what's up.

I am sick of receiving bids for $25,000-40,000 when there is absolutely no reason for it to be that high! If you are a professional sider who would be willing to guarantee your work and do it at a very fair price, please send me a message with your bid. I do not want the bottom of the line siding and I know I can purchase it myself for much less than what I would pay for a sider to purchase it. I am strictly asking for someone to come in and do the job, and do it right!

I have a large pond with no fish in it and there's always gross things growing floating. I heard that if you put certain fish in it, they'll eat this stuff and help keep it clean.

Anyone know if there's any truth to this? If so, what kind of fish should I put in it? I heard small mouth bass.

These machines generally take smaller than average loads but I have no idea how well they work. LG makes one, and Malber does too. Before I buy one of these I'd love some first hand information.

I let my lawn clippings dry and then rake them up to feed to my rabbits. My lawn is a good mix of random plants, clover, etc (*lol* nice lawn, I know).

But this time the clippings got rained on before I could rake them up. Should I be concerned about mold or anything if I let them dry completely again? So much for the weather report.

[And if you are going to say I should feed my bunnies "rabbit pellets" you can just mosey on along. Rabbit pellets are not the best food for rabbits]

My thinking is that neither side has a chance of proving the existance of god or no god. The answer is outside our ability to prove one way or the other. Only fools think otherwise. We are no closer to proving god exists than we were 6000-10,000,000 years ago.
My suggestion is we take the wuestion and put it right out on the table and just watch and see what happen in 6000-10,000,000 years. Then go on with our lives. Go to a higher level. Quit the crap and maybe just maybe we will be rewarded in some way with the answer. If it makes any difference at all.
What do you think about that idea. Please no holy rollers or preachers or scientist that can't see outside themselves need answer.

OK-I have heard all the propoganda on DirectBuy. AND, it truly sounds like a good deal. HOWEVER, the membership fee is awfully expensive. My question is this: is it worth the membership fee? Does anyone have direct experience with them (without being employed by them) and find that it is well worth the fee? We are getting ready to build a new home and I have talked to them several times and they have assured me that I can save up to 40% on my materials if I go through them. Is this true? I have not had a "meeting" with them yet, as they want a yes/no answer on membership on the spot. You don't have the luxury of going home and thinking about it. That scares me. I want to make an educated and well-thought decision on how/where I spend my money. Saving 40% on materials sounds really awesome--more house, less money--but if it is not true, then I would rather put that membership fee directly into my new home. Please help!

Last fall the city dug up the part of our yard on the side of the sidewalk closest to the road. They replaced it with random dirt which I am going to assume was dirt they dug from under the road (they dug the road up and redid all drainage and sewar pipes). This spring its full of mushrooms, what is the most effective way of ridding the grass of mushrooms? There has never been a mushroom problem on our streets and many neighbors are complaining they to are growing mushrooms which were never in their yards before. We are all just assuming they were laying dormate under the road and when the dirt was replaced they used the dirt dug from the street to fill in the dirt they took from our yards. We have tried picking them, mowing them and using roundup.
