Does draino or like liquid plumber stuff explode when you put it in standing water?

actually yes it can explode. of course there are circumstances that would cause that. the most probable would be chlorine in the water. im unsure of the level required but it is a small amout as i remember.

So DO NOT MIX CHEMICALS ...YOU AND YOUR PARTNERS HEALTH WILL BE IN JEAPORDY!

No, that's how the product is intended to be used.

However, I wouldn't recommend trying it the other way around, i.e. pouring water into Draino.

No, but the chemical reaction with the water causes heat. This can damage fixtures that are in contact with it such as toilets.

no it does not but it is a form of sufuric acid and can be vary harmfull
