I've seen it in hotels, and I don't like overhead lights, so I want to hook my lamps up to the light switch on the wall.

There are Tiger Lilies every where. I dig up as many of them a year I can, but they just keep populating. I do not like the flower and where they are located I want to put mulch down. I can't do that because they will come through the mulch and I don't want to waste the money. I have talked to so many people and everyone tells me to just keep digging them up, and they are hard to get rid of, I know this. But there has to be someone out there who knows how I can get rid of them, keep in mind the people who owned the house before me planted them around my entire house, yuk!

I have an outdoor lighting system for my front walkway. It is powered by a Malibu ML200RT Low Voltage Transformer. When the transformer is plugged in, and the timer turns the system on, all the lights turn on for about half a second and then they turn off the whole night until the next day, when the processes repeats.

I opened up the Malibu transformer and it was filled with water. So, I kept it open for a few days to let it dry. It's now been dry inside my house for over 10 days. However, I still have the same problem. The lights will turn on briefly and then off, I can't get it to repeat until the next day. What's odd is that the Malibu's internal timer keeps working. I'm assuming the Malibu transformer is the problem since it was filled with water. However, who knows? It's worked fine for about three years or so.

One other detail, the lights on the walk way are Malibu 11 watt CS14P lights. There are 10 of them.

Can I fix the transformer or do I have to buy a new one?

Hi, I live in Ohio.. I think zone 5. I'd rather not have to dig anything up in the fall. i recently dug out a small round garden, and I have a brick retention wall up. Inside are hostas, catmint, hardy glads, red king crocosmia, dill, basil and parsley. I'd like to put something around the edges, to sort of fill it in a bit.. preferably low maintanance, that isn't expensive to plant a reasonable amount of. Any suggestions? Anything else that would look nice with the other plants is good too, doesn't just have to be the edge.

im just replacing two light fixtures in my dining room with ceiling fan/light combos. The problem is arising with the switch on the wall which is the original from the 70's and is a combo on/off and dimmer. The first ceiling fan is somehow connected to the dimmer switch so the light is "sharing" power with the plain light at the other end of the ceiling. Will it all work itself out once I replace the ceiling light with the next ceiling fan?

Can you describe the process of plant frostbite? Like at what temperature plants freeze at, why the cold damages the plant, and what the "symptoms" are of a frostbitten plant? Also, please describe any solutions that deal with sprays (e.g. wilt-pruf)

best answer gets ten points! PLEASE help!

OK. I have a really high ceiling that needs to be painted, and theres no way to get to it. I can't stand on a ladder cause the staircase is right underneath it. Any suggestions? I would use a really long handled roller, but what about the edges? Thanks!

I have a Kenmore gas dryer model #78974890, about 9 years old. When I push the start button the motor runs but as soon as I let go, the motor stops. If I hold it in, the motor runs. I thought it was the switch, so I replaced it. Then I thought it was the motor, so I replaced that. Still have the same problem. Right before it went, you could push the button, and sometimes it would work. Could it be another bad switch? Please help.....
