Are there companies that will buy and pick up appliances?

Look in the yellow pages, under used applainces. They may not want to buy them, but they may come and pick them up, if you give it to them.

If the appliances are in good shape and work, then you may be able to sell them to someone to use at a second home or to put in their basement or garage. good luck

not sure about companies, but you can post it on www.craigslist.com
i've bought many used appliances off there and picked them up. ...washer/dryers, stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers...
