Water the area well and pull it up.I disagree about using Roundup. That method over fertilizes the area but, later, becomes serious fertilizer that increases your problems. Say, NO to Roundup.

I would use a good general fertilizer for perennials. Unless your soil is extremely acid or alkaline I wouldn't worry about the soil PH, because liriope is not that fussy. Using the right fertilizer for the right plant ensures that all their requirements are met. If you want a quick fix use Seasol or Seasol Powerfeed regularly to bring them around. The new named varieties have nicer dark larger leaves than the original varieties.

Dig up the roots, and use some round up on it. I use them to outline the borders of my landscaping. good luck

Instead of killing it and being a plant murderer, just put a note on Freecycle for someone to bring their shovel to dig it up and take it.
