Dude the ants are so annoying. If anybody knows any home made stuff that would be good. But the name of store bought stuff would help too.

I have the pollenex dual system and i am not satisfied. When both heads are on there is ZERO pressure (can barely rinse off soap).

I want a massaging showerhead with a wide face.

Just wondering if anyone has tried and how you like them. You can go to this website, even watch a video demo. Let me know what you think. I think they seems pretty cool for a small area, like a backsplash. I've seen them on ebay too. They're not very expensive to begin with but I guess you could get them cheaper on ebay.

The spinning brush under my vacuum always gets the hair knotted around it! Also, my carpet is rather thick and I have pet hair and pet food pieces to pick up. I have been pricing out a Dyson, but I would love a less expensive alternative. Thanks for your help!

I just want to make sure I am doing this right.

I have just bought for $3 a 20 amp male plug. (I hope that is the right term). Its the part that will plug into the outlet. The plug has three prongs.
One prong is the U shaped one, which I assume is ground, and has a greenish screw on the inside.
One prong is flat and has a silver coloured screw on inside.
Last prong is also flat (but at right angles to the other flat prong) and has a brass coloured screw on the inside.

The wire coming into this plug has green, white and black.

So I assume that the green wire goes the green screw (U shaped prong). This is the ground?
I assume that white wire goes to the silver screw.
I assume the black wiire goes to the brass screw.

Does this sound ok?

I have a Ruud Natural Gas Furnace Model UGAA-080C from what I can see on the label. Honestly, I didnt think to ask how old it was when I bought the house last month. Yes first time homebuyer and young. What a combination! Everything was fine until yesterday which was a beautiful day and since we were painting I decided to cut it off - rather than down - and opened the sliding glass doors and windows. I'll say it was shut down for 8 hours then as night approached I set it to like 75 but I never heard the usual rumble. Didnt really think anything of it until 12am when I woke up freezing. I can see the blue flame but no matter how I set it, it wont come on. Is there anything else I can try before shelling out money for a tech to come and possibly replace it so soon after Christmas :(

I have a plumbing problem because my house stinks after I take a long shower. The smell is from under the house. I have a septic tank and it's not full. If I crawl under the house what am I looking for? An open pipe? vent? and what does it look like.
The tank is 100 ft in front of the house. It smells like methane gas.
I am a DIY and will crawl under the house to fix it if I can.

The motor of the garage runs but the door remains stationary. What is causing this problem. We can pick up the door by hand but cannot use the remote.

I have long hair and my bathtub drain always is getting clogged. My dad told me to pour about 2 cups of bleach every week down the drain to keep it from clogging. It really works. Sometimes I forget to pour the bleach and it gets clogged up bad. I just pour the bleach down the drain and save a bundle in Drano & using a plumber.

I had a new patio cover installed on my screen room. It has leaked four times already (with every rain). The company has been out three times already to attempt to repair it with no avail. It is leaking bad. It floods the floor of my room and I have lost some stuff that I had to throw out from getting wet. Also, the compnay split my fascia upon installing and put caulking all over my brand new roof. Since, they can't fix it, I did not know if I should call my insurance company to file a claim because I obviously need a new cover. I just paid $4800 for this one a little under three months ago. I have photos and was planning on sending a certified letter to the company demanding they fix it this time or I will contact the BBB and take legal action. I am just worried that this will make them mad and they won't come out to fix it.

I have installed some undercounter halogen lights that I have plugged into an outlet above my cabinets. The outlet has one side switched (for a flourescent light above the sink) and the other side is not switched (halogen light kit). My light kit uses a small touch pad that turns the lights on/off and has three light brightness levels. My problem is, when I turn on the flourescent light, it turns on my halogen lights to the first brightness level. I am trying to find out why and what the solution might be. Any ideas appreciated.....thanks.

How do you hand wash clothes? Can I use the same detergent I use in the washing machine? If not, I heard that some people use shampoo – would that work?
I usually do not wash my clothes manually, so I am not really familiar with the process,
and don’t want to have to go out and buy anything new (like special soap) so I would rather use what I have.

I have a 200 hundred post an beam house that has very low ceilings. In a 12x20' room there are 3 levels with ceiling heights from 6.3' to 7.4'. I want to get rid of the middle level by eliminating the top and bottom floor and replacing it with one floor in the middle. In this way the lowest level will have a high ceiling as will the upper level. Any ideas? I'm particularly interested in reinforcing the the vertical supports at the point where I am eliminating the horizontal joists. Thanks!
