I recently purchased my first home and am in the processing of decorating. My master bedroom is a bit smaller than previously (at my apartment). My bed is queen sized so it tend to take up a lot of room so I am looking for some tips to make the room appear larger.

Getting rid of the bed is not an option right now because I don't have the money to replace it. I know that light colors will make the room appear more spacious but do you guys have any more tips for me?

Indoor hibiscus plant flowering and growing very well had to cut the plant back as it was reaching the ceiling in the room it was in. Plant is in SW facing window with lots of sun. After cutting it back now many if not most of the leaves are yellowing and falling off plant. New growth is coming in on many of the stocks including where I cut it back. Is this any thing to be concerned with?

I have received (signed for mail) a parcel which was addressed to my home but the name was different to mine. The package contains a fairly valuable item but there is no invoice, return address or contact details. How long do I have to keep it before it becomes mine and where do I stand legally with this item?

I mean, do body washes accomplish something, or provide some benefit, that washing with soap (whether ordinary bar soap or health-food-store type bar soap) does not?

We get loads of really big ones as our house is old and wonky with loads of nooks and crannys. I'm terrified of spiders. Is there a spray or something that would put them off from coming out of their hidey holes and running around scaring me?

I had issues with cats and squirrels eating or pooping on all my flowers, so I decided to put landscaping fabric and mulch down around all my flowers. I now want to fertilize for the winter and don't know how to go about it. I bought compost for my newly planted peonies and have tons left over. If I can't fertilize with compost, can I use liquid fertilizer?

I live in zone 5, have roses, clematis, peonies and two butterfly gardens. Thanks for any and all advice!

I was told that if I put an aspirin in a vase of fresh cut flowers, it will preserve them longer. Is this true and if so, what does the aspirin do to the flowers? How often should I change the water in the vase because I do not know how to preserve roses but I want to save these!! If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please let me know!

I checked several internet sites and replacements.com. Many have pattern names with numbers starting with "V" and near "V 430", but none had it. This is probably circa 1929 as the saucers seem backstamped (embossed) with actual dates!
