Here's the problem - you have to pump the handle to flush the toilet. The cistern's filling - in fact we part fixed the problem by adjusting the ball **** so it over fills... This is obviously a bit crap as it's constantly overflowing into the pan.

The o-ring/seal on the joint where the mains pressure water enters the system is leaking very slightly but apart from that there is no visual damage.

Please help as it's driving me crazy!

I do everything I can to save energy. Have double glazing fitted, cavity wall insulation, double thickness insulation in the loft, energy bulbs, hot water tank lagged, I only buy 'A' rated appliances. I do my washing at night on economy 7, keep doors closed, only have the radiators on in rooms I use most often, I recycle paper, tin cans, glass, I drive a lead free petrol car, YET petrol prices have continued to rise, poll tax goes up, gas and electric prices are up. A few years ago when I wasn't doing anything to save energy my bills were a lot cheaper, now I'm saving energy it's costing me a fortune. Is it just me or is everyone noticing this?

I just bought my 2nd air bed. The first one, I messed up too badly in "creative" patching to really sit down and try to fix it.
The new one should be here in a few days and I've just spent the past two hours looking for flocked-fabric or velour patches for air beds. The UK, AUS, NZ all sell them. But the USA? Doesn't seem to be happening.
Does anyone know of a place I can go or order in the Americas for a repair kit of this kind???? Or if not, I was wondering if perhaps someone might know if the Coleman Seam Sealer & Outdoor Kit would work on the fabric as well as it does platics and such.

I am concerned about the cost because there are three layers of shingles on there. Will that end up costing me more? My house is 2200 sq ft.

I live in a flat and have a 'fully pumped' gas central heating system. attached is a timer which allows the hot water and heating to be set independently. Each of them has it's own 'advance, one hour and timed' facility but the heating wont come on without the hot water - this is a recent thing. A plumber has replaced the pump and it has recently been checked yet no one can offer an explanation. Does it have something to do with the way i have set the timers?

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a course where I could learn the basics of sewing. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley area and would prefer something near Alhambra or as far south as Downey. Thanks.

I have a pink picture for my living room and thought to compliement it I should paint my walls chocolate Brown. I have a natural wood entertainment center. I don't feel right buying white or dark wood shelves when i have a natural wood entertainment center. I was thinking about glass or silver shelves but I wasn't sure. I don't want my living room to be cluttered with, brown walls, natural wood, dark wood, silver accents, and a pink picture. I would like it simple. I would like my living room colors to be chocolate brown, pink and silver but it's not that easy. does anyone have any ideas?
