I'm new at drywall installation. I was wondering which to sheetrock first. The ceiling or the walls. Does the ceiling then rest on the walls(sheetrock)?

Thanks.

I know about changing the main bag before it's half full. I haven't heard any recommendations on changing the side Hepa filter. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have company coming over this Thursday..and I need to clean the whole upstairs!!! Yikes!!

Which is about 8 rooms and shampooing the carpets.

All of the rooms are disasterous! Thanks to my dogs. :(

Anyone have any cleaning tips..to make it go faster..or to not make it seem so bad?

I'm pretty overwhelmed. And please don't advise me to put on music, or a tv. Those don't help me, because I just want to watch the tv or sit down and listen to the music!!

Thanks!

I have a house near Baltimore built in 1965. It has a small breaker box and 100Amps of service. I would like to upgrade. I want to have most of the money before I get contractors to give me an estimate. How much should I expect to spend?
Should I upgrade to 200Amps, or go for the gusto and get 300Amps?

I am considering installing these to replace some older sliders. They look interesting but I am concerned about ease of use and if they are drafty. The key thing is energy efficiency and keeping my daughter's room warm at night.

The cord of my washing machine is too short to reach the nearest socket. So I use the extension cord. The extension cord has nearly burned, got hot and brown. I think the socket of the washing machine was not completely inserted. I got another extension cord, but it is getting uncomfortably warm/hot. I don't dare to run the washer at 60 C. I know, in the instructions it says one shouldn't use the extension cord but there simply isn't any other place I can put the washing machine.
Is something wrong with the washing machine? Wiring? Just the one socket I use for the washer?
I have modern fuses. Why didn't it blow?! I was convinced it should when something nearly burns!
Please help.

My drying machine doesn't dry my clothes. I've had it for about 3 years. IT was working fine until now. After the machine is done drying, the clothes are still soaking wet. I've tried changing the lint filter, but it doesn't seem to be working. What could be the problem?
