what if you have standing water in your yard that is undrainable, as in a ditch?

eliminate standing water... empty anything that hold water that is outside... because thats where they breed

Your standing water is the problem. Contact your local USDA Agricultural extension...all counties have them. See if they can give you a recommendation on how to get that standing water to drain. If you cant find the extension, try the health department. This is your biggest source of mosquites...they breed in the standing water.

Try citronilla candles they hate that. Also stay clear of standing water.

Citronella plants and candles. No standing water and no coffee growing.

larvicide..... you can buy pellets to throw in to the water to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.... good luck
