Is you heater not gas? You don't need electricity to run a gas heater, but if the heater is electric your outta luck. I say go with the extra blanket theory or sleeping bag. Candles do reduce the chill and my parents did the burns on full blast, but only for a few minutes to take the chill off, otherwise you risk CO2 getting you. I like the go to a friends house idea best. Hey, how are you going to check these answers without juice to the computer?

Yes - with a kerosene heater - available at most hardware/home stores. Grab a kerosene / gas can while you are there. Kerosene is available (at the pump) at many gas stations. Be careful though - be sure to leave a window cracked as they can eat up oxygen - read the precautions. Not to scare you off though - I have many and use them often as supplemental haet source.

Be very careful about this. The wrong kind of heater will make you drowsy and kill you in your sleep with carbon monoxide.
The safest thing I can think of would be to dress warm until bedtime and get a whole bunch of blankets or a sleeping bag. At least you will wake up in the morning.

Wear warm clothes and use warm blankets, it is just for one night. Remember, bodies produce heat. If you've got another one to snuggle up to, go ahead.

You can always start your oven. The other option is renting a space heater from a hardware store

Turn on all your electric appliances and lights. They make a fair bit of heat.

Incandescent light bulbs, and computers are the best. You can set your laptop on the bed to warm it up for you.
