i have two estimates for siding my house. one is seamless, prefered because of the look, the other is seamed, contractor says this is better because it allows for expansion and contraction. i live in upstate ny, so we do have vast differances in tempuraters throughout the year. would like to hear from contractors or homeowners with experiance. thanks

I have a solid wooden desk. Just freshly repainted it completely white. The top Use to have glass so now it indents down somewhat. I would like to decorate the top before replacing the glass..either decoupage or paint art so it can be seen when looking down at the desk and then the glass place ontop of it.

Do you have any unique ideas to decorate the top of the desk?

Some people can get them white like they came from the store and I can only do that when things are new. After a while, things are more 'off white'. They still get clean enough, but just not white like white from the store.
What's the secret?

I've tried detergent, stain remover and vanish but dark brown stain still there. Professional carpet cleaners want to do whole carpet (£250) but it's still quite new
