we are putting old doors on a cabinet and want them to look aged

Ideas:

sanding the edges...rough them up a little

crackle spray paint by Krylon....any colors

sanding then paint on some black paint and wipe back off.....it will stay in the cracks

I've taken a small propane torch to them before to give them an old look. You can decide how burnished you want it to look as you do it. Try it on a spare hinge first to see the results. Oh yeh, don't forget to hold the hinge with needle-nose pliers or something like that. The torch will make your finger tips look old too! Good luck.

soak the hinges in coca-cola for a couple of days. It will aged them -- I promise!

let the children play with them! hahahahaha i am pretty sure you can use a rough pad- like brillo and a stain-

you can buy hinges that have an antique finish.
