Do You Know Any Hawaiian Themed Decorative Desk Ideas?

Question

I have a solid wooden desk. Just freshly repainted it completely white. The top Use to have glass so now it indents down somewhat. I would like to decorate the top before replacing the glass..either decoupage or paint art so it can be seen when looking down at the desk and then the glass place ontop of it.

Do you have any unique ideas to decorate the top of the desk?

I refinished a coffee table once along the same fashion. I used a flat bamboo scatter rug that i bought at the discount store. It was only about 1/4" thick. I fastened it down with spray adhesive. Then put single strength glass over the top of it. I then ran a thin bead of clear silicone around the edge of the glass to seal it down. Didn't look half bad! Good luck.

you can stencil it with hawaiin flowers in a nice dark green or bamboo and green colors...or you can get some real pressed hawaiin flowers and use those....sounds like a good idea you have though, good luck!=0)
