mine sometimes has a fishy smell, so when that happens I put one cup of bleach into the washer and let it run a regular cycle. I do that just for the heck of it now about once a month

Does your water naturally have sulphur in it? I go to a cottage where the water supply comes from a sulphur area, so you must drink bottled water there. If it is only the dishwasher where this smell occurs, there is an accumulation of material that is breaking down and causing this smell. I would put it through a cycle, empty, with a bowl of bleach in the bottom, which will cause it to be splashed around during the washing, and hopefully eliminate the smell and possible bacteria causing this.

Is it your water? You could try a little bleach in your dishwasher. Could you get a water softener to help get the sulfur out of your water if that is what it is?

Try putting a generous amount of vinegar in there when you next run your dishwasher.
