There is a difference. Wall tiles are not as durable as floor tiles. When you shop for tiles ask the salesperson to show you the specific types. p.s. your question is vague. I may not have even answered your question.

There are a number of varieties present in the market depending upon the local demand and the style prevalent in the locality/area.
Various locations also decides the type of the tiles to be used.
However, floor tiles should be a bit tougher and harder than the wall tiles.

I just tiled our kitchen, bathroom and ensuite shower room. I am no tiling expert and I turned to THE BIG G to help me find out more. One of the most helfpul sites I came across to explain about the different types of wall tile is TFO (Tile Factory Outlet). I learnt a lot there quickly.

You should try and be a bit more specific with your questions. There are alot of very helpful people on this site, but being vague can limit the help you get. You could go check out the home store tile displays for suggestions if you want to purchase tile for you home. Hope your find what you like.
