My bathroom door is locked. It is the kind of lock where you push and turn the knob. There is no one inside, and I'm not sure how to unlock it. Can you help?

We have flies we call "no see ems" because they're so small and they're not exactly fruit flies because fruit flies are bigger. I want to know where they come from and how to get rid of them from circling your face when you're biting into a nice grilled salmon and scooping up cold slaw with a fork? Anybody an entomologist out there? Thank you, Cool Breeze

I've repaired it a couple of times, but each summer when the ground shifts (clay soil) one wall will move downward a little bit (less than an inch) causing the tape to buckle and make diagonal ripples in the tape joint. Sometimes it pulls the tape off the wall, sometimes it doesn't.

Is this serious? Is this normal? Will it resolve itself or is this going to cost me money. We are having alot of rain, but this is the first time it ever happened.

for my kids room. don't know which order would make most sense. if i paint first i don't need a drop cloth. if i finish the hardwood floor first the finish might be scratched up during painting. i can't decide.

Home built in 1928 but probably renovated at least once or twice before I became the new owner 2005. Satellite dish is about 40 pounds. Can I mount the dish anywhere or is it important to find the strongest exterior wall of the house?

We don't want to go through a Real Estate agent. We are willing to pay someone $500 to bring us a qualified buyer. Does anyone think this is worth it? The house is a great, remodeled home in a FANTASTIC neighborhood. We just want the publics opinion if they would bother to help a friend/family member/work mate, etc. find a house and earn $500 for basically just mentioning it to them. What do you think?

Clueless homeowner here.. The paint on the garage is peeling and cracking and needs to be redone before CA rainy season begings in a few weeks. What do folks recommend? Is there an electric paint stripper that would be best? Any tips much appreciated.
