Is this serious? Is this normal? Will it resolve itself or is this going to cost me money. We are having alot of rain, but this is the first time it ever happened.

Its ours - it is in our backyard for our septic. And we do not have city sewer.

time to pump the poopy! your full and it's about to back up into the house. there is no way you would do anything I can sudgest so call the septic truck company. Either your fields are full or your pump is broken. Check your breaker as well.sometimes the pump is on a seperate circuit than the alarm

The lift station is part of your sewer system. It lifts (pumps) your waste water (poop/pee) to the sewer. They are used when you are at the far edge of a sewer system and your homes main drain pipe is actually deeper underground that the sewer pipe. The alarm will go off when the waste water in the tank is getting too high. For example if the pump breaks the tank will fill up and the alarm will go off. If it is the rainy season your tank might fill up with rain water (because it leaks) faster than the pump can get rid of it.
Either way there is usually a phone number on the inside of the alarm box. Open it up and call it. Alternatively search your county s sewer hotline and report the faulty pump.

Hi Dream, There could be 2 reasons that your alarm is going off. 1- someone was messing with the alarm or 2- you have a faulty alarm,and need to replace it.

Is it theirs or your. If your's you have a problem. If theirs, Call the company that you pay the sewer bill to. There is an electrical or mechanical problem. The Lift station my flood over or your sewer may back up
Call the people who pump your septic tank out. They should know what to do.

There is nothing wrong with the alarm. Just needs to be adjusted!!

they wont go off because there isnt like tags and stuff on candy bars so no but you can be seen on the video cameras but its not like people are always watching them
