We have an air to air (i.e. not ground source) heat pump with additional heating coils. I have replaced the filter and reset the thermostat. The fan works but the unit will only pump our hot air. Any suggestions on which part might be affected?

My towels and washcloths have a stench. They smell fresh when they come out of the dryer, but as soon as they are wet they have a very strong musty/mildew smell.
I use Tide w/bleach, warm wash, cold rinse, and a dryer sheet.
They only smell when they get wet. Even if it is 5 minutes after they are taken from the dryer.
What is causing this smell? I live in a military housing community and have asked others in my neighborhood if they have the same problem and they do not.

I found an OLD "United States Army" Sterling Silver ring in the ground in my front yard. Apperently before i got the property, they used this specific spot for burning. The Ring has some burned build up on it. i used a small sknife and when i scraped carefully, the silver showed. Is there a way to clean this without scraping? i tried "Mr. Metel" but only cleaned very few places. anything like an acid or something?

We bought a house and the pool water was green. We have been trying everything to get it clear. Right now it is a cloudy blue. We have shocked it and used a product called yellow out. We have all our levels right except the chlorine. It is suppose to be 2-4 and it is a .4. And that is with 2 tablets in our skimmer basket and we just shocked the pool less than 24 hours ago. All other levels are good. No green is left the water is blue but cloudy. Yes we have cleaned the filter (a sand filter). What could be messing up the chlorine level?? Is it safe to swim if you can't see the bottom? What should I do next??

How long should a Fridge Freezer stand before you switch it on? Does the gases need to settle for 12-24 hours or less?

i had a small fish tank without the filter, therefore i change the dirty, smelly fish water that contains fish food and fish wastes, etc everyday. My friend told me that if i use this water for my plants, it would be a great fertilzer. could this be true? what you think?

The plant is about three feet high, about five feet in diameter and is definitely a sprawler, as it's taking up a great deal of real estate. It has small, yellow flowers (about an eighth of an inch in diameter) that produce more leaves and shoots, serrated leaves in groups of threes, and has YET to produce any sort of fruit or vegetable.

The "sap" running through the stalks is extremely pungent and the stalks are relatively "fuzzy" in texture. Any clue as to what sort of plant this is? It doesn't really seem like a weed to me, but I could be wrong. Any thoughts?

I have a 24x24 detached garage that has numerous cracks that go all the way througn the thickness of the slab and also from one side to the other so that they can be seen on the outside. Some cracks are close to 2" wide and several inches deep and there are variances of about 1" in heigth between some of these cracks. One crack in particular goes along the back right next to the sill plate. The garage also needs to be raised a few inches to get it above ground level.
So I have been contemplating two options to fix these problems:
1. Lift the garage and a place 8" block around the foundation, bring in sand so that 4" of concrete can then be poured on top.

or

2. Lift the garage and form around the foundation and then be in some sand and concrete.

Does anyone know what would be the best way to go and what steps would be the best?

I live in Iowa and have to deal with temperatures from 100+ to 20-.

Thanks for your knowledge and assistance.

Someone seemed to think that the fact that their child ended a period of constipation in my Pool was OK! I am not so keen on this, and now the rest of my family wont swim in it until it has been completely drained. Can someone tell me if I really need to go through the rigmarol of doing this? Thanks

i am thinking of decorating my bedroom. if you go to jcpennys and look at the mtv cribs, i was thinking of putting the topaz collection comforter ontop of chris maddens 400 thread ct sheets in sangria, using two gold sequin accent pillows(also in the topaz collection) maybe painting the wall behind my bed to match the sangria sheets, i ordered a hanging black candle sconce for behind my bed prehaps, and i was thinking a bed canopy of some sorts might be sexy? do you think all this would be over the top? i am going for a sexy, diva lair kinda feel. i am a 25yr old single mother of two. i just want something i can feel very sexy in but doesnt' ward off the men either...i am not decorating for a man, but one was around, i want him to be comfortable and not feel he is in a little girls room. what do you think?

I bought a Hibiscus plant last year and this happened constantly. The new buds would form but before they would open (flower) the buds would fall off the stem. It was in a clay pot and even when I would get flowers they would fall off very quickly. I ended up transferring the plant to the ground and am waiting to see what happens. So far, so good, and I have one bloom about to open.

This year I bought 2 new Hibiscus plants and the same thing is happening. The buds just fall off the end of the stem before I see a flower. When I bought the plants they had at least 1 to 2 open flowers on each plant.

They are planted in large clay pots w/ potting soil, get watered every 2-3 days, get full sun in morning and part of the afternoon and get fertilizer as required.

Are the pots too small, not enough soil? (I have put them in larger pots and than they came in when purchased), Wrong fertilizer? (It says for flowering plants like Hibiscus), Too much/not enough water? Wrong type of soil?
