Some kid came to my house to try to sell me a $2,000 vacuum from kirby. I think that is wayyy to much money for a vacuum. My question is does anyone out there own a Kirby? And if so is it worth the 2 grand being asked for it?

Can anyone tell me if it is neccessary to put knotting on new wood before staining? I have learnt from experience that you have to do it before painting but if it's not essential before applying stain it will be one job less in amongst a mountain of things that I have to do !!Honestly.....I love this house but I am beginning to think that I must be insane to be doing this alone !!

My rich neighbors are spying on me. They are a bunch of vain snobs. They never cared about me when I was in higschool and every time I encountered them they ignored me like crap. Plus I feel they make fun of me and tell their friends the things I do. What do they want from me?

The extension to a house is sometimes a 'conservatory'. Why is it called so ?

I want them out of my garden, and I have this vague idea that if I flush them down, I will not kill them but they have a chance on survival in the sewers. I hope so anyway.
What do you think?

The tip of a cactus plant broke off at its base, can I replant the smaller piece in soil or water so that roots can start? Sorry I don't know what kind of cactus it is.

The two toliets upstairs have stopped up. One stopped up and I plunged it with no luck. I went to the store to get some Drano and the other toliet stopped up when it was used next. At this point I have tried 3 different liquid clog busters. None have had any effect. I removed both toliets and ran a 20 foot auger down both drain lines.
Water still stands in both. I tried some more clog remover and it still won't help.
No other drains are stopped up.
Anybody have any suggestions before I call a plumber?
