My husband recently installed some new doors onto our deck and used that foamy insulator called "Great Stuff" to fill in the gaps around them. Some got on the doors and on the carpet - how do I clean it up without ruining the finish/carpet?

I have a skunk in my neighborhood (I mean a real one), that seems to walk around at night and visit all the houses here. I'm not sure if he just natually smells, but for some reason when he decides to visit my home...it smells awful in my yard. I thought maybe he was spraying because of my dog, but now my dog sleeps inside and he still smells up the place. It's terrible and I have to get up in the middle of the night and close all the windows (he's not out there every night). Is there anything that I can do to discourage the skunk to NOT visit my back yard?

The only sink in the house that smells is the new kitchen sink. It only smells for a few seconds, then is normal. Only cold tap is affected. The pipe feeding the new sink is new also, but the rest of the house plumbing is old piping.

I have this polar fleece blanket that somehow managed to get chewing gum stuck to it. As polar fleece is quite fluffy, the chewing gum has adhered itself very well. I've tried the usual stain removers and laundry detergent in an attempt to break it down, but it didn't work. Is there a safe, effective way to remove, break down or dissolve the gum? Without ruining my blanket? :)

I have the bright green potatoe vine growing in some of my window boxes. It just started getting holes in the leaves. It looks like a little white flying bug. Any idea of how to get rid of them. The vines are next to huge hanging petunias. Thanks!
