I had a hysto (ovaries, tubes, uterus and cervix) 2.5 years ago.
I have risk factors for PCOS.
I have had elevated testosterone for 5 months.
Could PCOS be diagnosised as the cause of excessive hormones despite the surgery?

I was recently at the doctor's office. I was scheduled to have a pap smear and they tried to give me a male doctor. I told them I preferred a woman and luckily a woman was available. My mom (I'm only 17 by the way) says that it isn't really a big deal having a man do it, that it is there job. I however would feel really uncomfortable (and pap smears aren't really that comfortable in the first place). What about you?

I had bleed for over a month, so I went to the family planning and they didn't even check me out. They put me on the pill to "regulate" me. After a couple of days of taking the pill, I finally stopped bleeding. Then about a week and a half later IT'S BACK! I have been on now for about a week and I am starting the colored pills in my birth control pack. The bleeding has gotten even heavier and I am having constant cramping. Is this normal?

why is it that when I have my first and second day period, the period seems so heavy and painful. On my third day,it releses one solid red bloody substance which reduces so much my heaviness and painfulness ....so any idea what does that substance really is???and is it really normal to release the so called substance that I've mentioned above????I'm only 17 yr old..

I was talking to my friend yesterday and she said she had chapped lips. I asked her which pair. She laughed and said real funny. I wondered if it is possible for a woman to get chapped labia either from the dry, cold air or from exposing her valuables in the cold? Any women ever experienced this?

My wife has had lower right abdominal pain and migraines for over a week now. We went to the ER and they told us that she had inflamed stomach glands or inflamed lymph nodes (the doctor couldn't decide...). She was prescribed hydrocodone which we later found out she's allergic to. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause behind her sickness? I've checked medical sites already to no avail.

Ussually 7lb of water retention is just a normal part of PMS (drink lots and lots of water & green tea, and it can be reduced to 3-5lbs instead). Because of an upcoming latin dance event that's falling on the most inconvientent time, I'm required to wear that itsy bitsy latin competition dress.

Anyone know if diaretics really relieve the bloating? (too much caffeine is not good for me, and I can't have it frying my nerves on the performance day). If so, any that you would recommend? (Something I can get easily in western Canada would be preferable)

Can someone take prenatal vitamins even if their not pregnant? I know when I took them when I was pregnant they did wonders for my hair and nails. Are they to much of an overload for someone not pregnant but wants the extra nutrition. Been very stressed lately and not eating correctly.

My girlfriend and I were making out and it was the most passionate it had ever been...very slow and sensual. Towards the end of our make out session her breathing became erratic and her body began to shake. She had an orgasm. Is this unusual...I thought it was a little harder than that for a girl to have an orgasm...??

Okay so since I can remember there are certain ways that sex is painful or at least uncomfortable for me whether I am into it or not. I have been told by doctors that I have a tilted uterus. It seems that when I am flat on my back and my legs are down on the bed flat - it hurts and is uncomfortable. But if I lift my hips up a little I am fine. Also if I am on the edge of the bed (hips barely on the bed) and it is done that way - legs hanging down off the bed it also hurts. Ladies do you know why this is and what can be done. I hate being limited to certain positions because of this. And now I worry more during sex if it is going to hurt. Please help!!

Looking for a Natural Remedy for Water Retention. I am healthy and in shape and drink lot's of H20! I also watch my sodium intake carefully. But every week out of the month I retain water very badly. Don't recommend seeing DR-he knows and says tough it out. Looking for a natural "secret" to rid my body of this excess water. Thanks!

I have precancerous lesions on my cervix that I'll be undergoing surgery for. The problem is, they are causing so issues leaving me not feeling so 'fresh' down there. It sucks that I have to deal with the pain and the worry...but now this. I just want to feel better...down there. Even if it's just 'fresher'.
