Is losing your virginity for a girl, really painful? My girlfriend & i both lost our virginity to each other last night. She found it REALLY painful, and I found penetrating really awkward, in the missionary position, it seemed an awkward angle! Does this make sense to anyone cos im quite worried!

Yes, it can be quite painful. People don't talk about this part of sex, but sometimes it can take several "trys" before you can get it in without hurting her.
First, be patient.
Second, use a lubricant. K-Y or some other brand. Seriously, this can make a big difference.
Third, try it with her on top. She can straddle you, and guide your penis into her, and then gently move down on you. This gives her the control, so if it hurts too much, she can back off.
Fourth, keep things light. A sense of humor can help. Sex IS awkward sometimes. Try to have a little fun with all that fumbling around. You will both get the hang of it.
And by the way, I hope are using protection unless you are ready to start a family!

For some women, losing their virginity can be painful, taking a lot of things into consideration. The awkwardness for you & the painfulness for her, will disappear in time once you are more experienced. Don't be worried & in time, you can both experiment using different positions that won't seem so awkward. Good communication will help in that respect.

I too found it to be a painful experience. It's been a long time but i believe it was the first couple of times it hurt. And now that you have lost your virginity, try other things.Missionary is of course the easiest to do, but try other positions that might make you both feel more conferable.

It depends on the girl, but i found it very painful... even 2 or 3 times after. Don't worry, it'll get better and you'll eventually find positions to suit both of you!

Yah, it's awkward as hell because neither of you know what you're doing. Me and my long-since-ex-girlfriend lost our virginity to each other, and it took a good 3 weeks before we could have sex without either her getting to sore to keep going or me feeling like I just pulled my groin. Keep at it, and don't be afraid to try new positions. Feedback is real helpful, because if something hurts like hell and she does't say anything about it, you'll keep on doing it.

I haven't heard a story involving two virgins which wasn't really painful for the girl or for both. It usually gets better with time.

Yes, it would be painful. I remember my first time, I cried and cried. It was probably uncomfortable to you because since she had never had sex before she was really tight. I wouldn't be worried, after a few more times you'll be enjoying yourselves having a good ol' time.
