there's the combined pill, the mini pill, the patch, the jab, the implant, cap, coil and some others that I cant think of off the top ofmt head.
The combined pill, you take daily for 3 weeks, have 1 week off then start again
the mini pill you take every day
the patch you put on once a week and leave it on for that entire week, for 3 weeks and then have a patch free week
the jab you have once per 3 months (or something like that)
the implant goes into your arm, little cut and works for upto 3 years, but obviously after those 3 years it needs to be removed
the cap you use with spermicide and is somewhat like a condom, but you put it in prior and can leave it in for several hours after
the coil goes inside your womb and prevents an embryo from implanting, so you can in theory still get pregnant but you miscarry.
the combined pill and the patch have the highest sucess rate of contaception.
Pills, patch and jab are most popular
hope this helps

The pill is the best option as long as you can be sure that neither one of you is playing away from home! As the pill does not stop you from getting STD's.
If you have been together since virginity and are both faitfhull then i would go for the pill. I have been on it 6 years and i love it.

the pill is the most common contraceptive and your doctor will decide which one is best for you or there is the depot jag which you can get every 3 months in your bum which is also quite common. the effect of the jag is that it stops your periods which is quite good if you have trouble with your monthlys. there are various others which your doctor should explain. good luck x

The depo injection is great, you only have it every three months so you don't need to worry about forgetting to take it, and nine times out of ten it stops your periods completely, so an added bonus.

Go for the combined pill. Its easy, and you have 12 hours in which to take in.
It doesn't bugger up your cycle like the injection, implant and mini-pill.
