"It seems laughter is still the best medicine," say Nobel Prize nominees Drs. Gael and Patrick Flanagan. The Flanagans point to researchers at California's Loma Linda University who tested blood samples from people subjected to an hour of video-and-comedian-induced laughing.

When compared to a control group, the laughers showed increased levels of good hormones (endorphins and neurotransmitters) and decreased levels of stress hormones (cortisol and adrenaline), conditions which, according to the researchers, strengthen the body's immune system.

I love to laugh and there is nothing more appealing to me than a man with a sense of humour...

what makes you laugh?

I wont eat processed meat, rarely drink from the same cup as someone unless they wiped it,etc, it takes me like 1 and a half minutes to wash a fork and i use a bamboo skewer aponge and anti bacterial soap to wash it, i got in trouble for saying" no thanks, thats not sanitary, i'll get my own" to my vp (vice principal) when he was handing out the styrofoam lunch plates (which i complaned about to a sarcastic mean councelor for being made of harmful chemicals and not being biodegradeable), i cand eat on most public tables (mcdonalds, etc) and much more

Is there such type of glasses that I could wear while Im on my computer, to avoid my eyes hurting, even though I dont wear them?!
lol, sorry if thats a bit confusing! I dont wear glasses. But wanted to know if wearing a pair of glasses, with, say, only a small amount of magnification would stop my eyes from hurting when on the computer.

Or, just would occasionally wearing glasses with a small amout of magnification ever hurt, or be bad for your eyes?

anything that you could think of will be greatly appreciated! so thank-you so much! :)

My brother in law discovered a bruise about 10 cm long and 5 cm wide on his inner thigh a week ago. It was black with a white elongated shape in the middle of it. Today, a week later, it looks like a normal blue bruise, that you would get from hurting yourself.

He never felt a bite, and there were no obvious bite marks. It was never very painful or itchy. Just swollen and a bit tender.

On the day that he discovered it he was walking through fynbos (only found in South Africa, mainly shrubs), but also spend time on the beach and walked through sand dunes.

Have googled spider bites, but have mostly found pictures of the brown recluse. Unlike the brown recluse he doesn't have any open wounds. And he never felt sick in any way.

We live in South Africa.

Do you have any idea what have bitten him?

It seems that doctors give prescriptions to patients but never take the time to talk about the side effects and other things. And you ask your Pharmacist and he knows more than the doctor does.

I usually have my mom or dad or grandma tuck me in before I go to sleep. It works only by them, no one else... my grandma doesnt live here and my parents sometimes go to sleep before me. How can I go to sleep without waking up my parents or getting an anxiety attack? I am not going to drink warm milk, I am a lactose intolerant. That meditation zen stuff doesnt work, and even if I exercise a lot for one day that doesnt help. I cant play music in my room, and I dont usually have time for a long bath... I also wake up several times each night for a few minutes... ALSO... 1- Is there anything wrong with me? 2- Should my dr know? 3- What can I do to help it?

No matter in the summer or winter, my body heat's so high that I feel so hot, especially in a room with bad air-condition. Every now and then, the heat brings a blush to my face. So I don't wear much indoors even in the cold winter. People always think I'm crazy. Why do I feel so hot?? What's wrong with me? May I get some remedies from you people here?

I never take them out because I can't see anything without them and just laziness. I drive cars around all day at work so i can't function w/o them and i don't own any glasses. I've been sleeping with them on since I got them over 2 years ago and never had any problems accept short term irritation. Just how bad is it for my eyes?

almost two weeks now, i'm still trying to rid of this condition. itching and burning, irritating like yeast. dr. didn't find yeast bacteria and I was tested for STD, but test came out negative. I thought my husband gave something to me, I not sure. I contracted something from him a few years ago, and he never admitted it. Now, he kind of kept quiet because I suspect that he gave me something. I was on yeast treatment, however I started my period and I called the dr. and I was told not to use the treatment until my period is over. The itching is still there though. I'm tired of washing often and my legs are so dry that they itch really bad. Any remedy or what of this condition?
