almost two weeks now, i'm still trying to rid of this condition. itching and burning, irritating like yeast. dr. didn't find yeast bacteria and I was tested for STD, but test came out negative. I thought my husband gave something to me, I not sure. I contracted something from him a few years ago, and he never admitted it. Now, he kind of kept quiet because I suspect that he gave me something. I was on yeast treatment, however I started my period and I called the dr. and I was told not to use the treatment until my period is over. The itching is still there though. I'm tired of washing often and my legs are so dry that they itch really bad. Any remedy or what of this condition?

I would go back to our doc & see what else they can give you.
You can take an oatmeal bath to help alleviate your itchy skin.
You boil the oatmeal & strain it, put in a cheese cloth & tie it & place it in your bath with you & soak. This is good for your legs (the oatmeal bath), stay well hydrated & use a good creme (lanacane or vitamin E).
Vaginal yeast infections are caused by Candida albicans, which, along with a few types of bacteria, are normally present in relatively small numbers in your crotch. sometimes the yeast multiply rapidly and take over, causing a full-fledged yeast infection, or, in the heart-warming terminology of the medical establishment, candidiasis or monilia. this can be due to a change in the vaginal environment, injury, sexual transmission, or HIV. common environmental disruptions that favor yeast include increased pH, increased heat and moisture, allergic reactions, elevated sugar levels, hormonal fluxes, and reductions in the populations of bacteria that are normally present, these can generally be traced to a few categories of culprits. So maybe the yeast infection was shared between both of you & your husband might need to be treated as well.

some STD's never really go away after treatment has been done it just lies dormant for a while (months to years). one trigger for waking it up is stress.

i dont know what you contracted from your husband but maybe you should get another appt to meet with your gyno and explain how the itch is bothering you and if there is some kind of oitnment or lotion to relieve the itch.
