I know "how" they work, you inhale them. But my question is -

Ventalin inhalers for Asthma, they are magic, just 2 puffs and it immeditatley clears the air ways and enables me to breathe (literally straight away). Does anyone know quite what it is that makes them so magical? They work straight away. Whats the chemicals that do the trick? As technical an answer as you can give will be good.

I am having severe anxiety and stress in my life, I think it's actually making me sick with diarrhea and migraines. My neck and shoulders are in a constant knot. I have an immense amount of stress in my life, marriage not as I would like, child awaiting kidney transplant and daughter left for college this year. I've seen my doctor and all he does is prescribe valium and a anti-depressant. I've been hesitate to take any of it because I would rather proceed in a holistic way. I can't believe that I'm not tough enough to handle this. I need some advice on how to destress my life. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have 2 sores on my tonsils that look like whiteheads. I touched 1 and broke it but the other 1 vanished and became red and sort of scabby. For the last week or so I have been noticing that food gets caught "somewhere" in my throat and later I can move my tongue and spit out the food. What is this and is it serious? I fear the worst, cancer.

Do any of you women reading this suffer from sensitive nipples this time of year when the weather turns cold?

My boobs are quite painful right now and the only relief that works is to sit infront of an electric heater and let the blast of warm air soothe the pain away!

Anyone else suffer this problem? I've had to put up with this for years since my boobs developed. I the hate winter, roll on summer!

I've been sick with a sinus infection. I went to the doctor last Thurs & was prescribed amoxil & told to take antihistamine. I haven't done any hard physical activities for 2 weeks. Sunday I was feeling a lot better and was moving furniture around. Monday, I was aching at my shoulders and chest. The aches started to fade except for a pain in the left side of my chest. The pain in my chest kept coming and going all day. When I woke up Tues & started moving around, the pain in my chest came back. I started worrying & called a friend who's been a RN for 30 years. I descibed things & she said it sounds like I strained the muscle. It's been 3 hrs since I talked to her. Now, when I start to feel the pain in my chest, I'm feeling light headed too. I haven't taken any medicine in about 6 hours, so I don't think it's that. I took my pulse & it's 82/min. Am I worrying for nothing or is something really wrong? Also, I had blood work done 2 months ago & the results were normal. I'm 30 years old.
