I had this friend that was addicted to something she went thru withdraws! If she went out and and did stuff again would she have to go thru withdraws again? She did the stuff like 3 times over 2 days so would that be enuf to have some addiction and have to go thru withdraws again, or would it not affect the person

i mean, if you think about it..and watch closeeellyy...you see people reacting to eachother, talking to others, communicating, eating..going to work..getting there..they're doing what they need to do..'

ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE. This is a sensitive subject for me so please be serious.

My mom had a stroke, she is paralized on her side (the stroke was in the left side of the brain) and she can barely speak. She says a total of five words. The Stroke happend 2 weeks ago. I need stories of recovery and not so good recovery and the steps at which progress may be seen. If you have a personal expierience I would like to hear it wether it is positive or not. I just need to know what to excpect or not. Please do not sugar coat it I need to hear the truth. And again please only serious truthfull answers.

In cooking class, I forgot to check the seal of the blender, and someone in the class before us must've broken it, because there was a chunk of rubber in the smoothie (which we found out after everyone had drinken most of it!!)!!! Does anyone know if that's gonna hurt us??? My stomach kinda hurts, but that could be psychological...

I have a very strange habit where I will sit and gnaw on my tongue. I will feel around if there's any bumps, and then I will chew them off...which in turn creates more bumps, which I then chew...and so on. I've tried to look this up online and I cannot find anything! This is not because of my teeth, or anything else...I do this intentionally, yet I cannot stop doing it. I would love to stop doing this, but I don't know how, it's something I've been doing for many, many years.

I,m willing to go where I have to, but I don't have Very Much $. I recieve S.S.I. wich is a goverment prograhm for those with dissablitys. My DREAM is to DANCE, I do now on my crutch, but it's not the same as having 2 legs 2 B able to move FREELY to the Music. I also would love to B able 2 Walk again without a crutch or chair, if I have to use a cain @ first that's ok, they have some prety kool ones, and for that matter I can decorate my own, I,m a Very Creative Ladie. I need a step between 14mg and 7mg...which they conveniently DON'T make. 7 is too little 14 is too much. I've failed at quitting every time because of that useless little 7mg patch. How do I 'make' a 10.5 mg patch safely? It only makes sense to cut a 21mg patch in half! I am inclined to believe that it's "BAD" only because they make less money off you when you cut down the stronger patches...as each step is the same price. Nobody seems to be able to give me a detailed and technical account of how using a 'cut' patch will harm a person.

I am a mother of 4 children. Over the past two weeks, 2 of my 4 children have contracted pink eye: 4 year old, and 8 month old. I called their pediatrician, and she called in a prescription. Now, 2 weeks into this epidemic...I have contracted pink eye. I called my doctor, and they want to see me prior to writing a prescription. Yuck!

Pink Eye is highly contagious, and I do not want to expose other families to it by visiting the doctor. Also, there is a croup viris going around town, and I do not want to visit the doctor and expose myself/family to additional sickness.

Am I wrong to ask the prescription be called in without a visit?

Help! What do you think?

I have an 8 year-old boy who has ADHD and has had numerous behavior problems. I find that when he is on his medication (Adderall) it will help him with some of his behavior issues but the medication interfers with his appetite. I would like to get advice from others with ADHD and find out what it is like to have it, what helps you with it, are there better ways for a parent to discipline a child with AHDH, etc.

Anyone else been sick lately? I've had the flu for 3 days, just getting over it. My step-granddaughter, my step-son-inlaw and srep-daughter in law, were all sick too. My husband had to go to 3 stores to get me Theraflu! They told him at the third store , they couldn't keep it in stock because so many people where we live in IL.outside of Chicago, are sick with flu and cold.

I'm having really bad pains that feel kind of sharp at the top of my stomach/in my rib cage, and it's been happening for about a week. Has anyone ever experienced this, or is there a doctor out there that could tell me what it sounds like? It comes and goes and it lasts for about 20 seconds, but when it happens I can barely breath because when I do it hurts worse. Please help! Thanks:)

my 18 month old started out with a 101.3 temp. yeaterday,ok i gave her tylenole and gave her a cool bath. it went down a little then today she woke up fine,but shes not eating hardly anything,and she started to wine a little so i checked her temp.again and its up again at 101.3. i think it may be a sore throat. whats the other best thing besides tylenole to give a 18 month old for fever? i called her doctor but a nurse cant call back for another hour.

Alright. We live in this apartment. Each little building has 4 Apartments connected. After we moved here. there were some roaches. Then the people who lived here before us. they asked us if we had roaches. cuz they had them too. And the people in apartment 4, my little brother told me they have them too. and my friend in another apartment building more down says they have them to.
well now we have roaches everywhere. in the night time they crawl on the rug. on the walls. even in the day time u can see them. one even came outta my keyboard. there just everywhere. it seems liek we tried everything. everything. one was even crawling on my arm before. so i think we will probaly move soon. but i have a big big feeling were probably gonna take them with us now. cuz the furniture and everything.

Is it true that people lose their tan during winter, even though the Earth is closer to the sun at that time?

Anyway, do they still have to wear sunblock and avoid the sun? Or does the tan go on its own?
