I have an 8 year-old boy who has ADHD and has had numerous behavior problems. I find that when he is on his medication (Adderall) it will help him with some of his behavior issues but the medication interfers with his appetite. I would like to get advice from others with ADHD and find out what it is like to have it, what helps you with it, are there better ways for a parent to discipline a child with AHDH, etc.
Thanks for your help.......

I have a 9 year old like this, the Dr was concerned because he was losing so much weight that he put him on periactin in the evening when he is at home it makes him tired and stimulates his appetite.

Put following in search and hopefully you will get o free newsletter they offer for parents with ADD children. Schwablearning.org
One example seen for children with hypt/ADD is picture TV with broken tuner trying to make sense of number of stations all coming in at once.
