ok, keep in mind that each parent has two genes from their own parents so while they are A and B one or both could be carrying an O gene also which is overshadowed by the A or B. So the possible combos for blood type for parents with A and B blood types are all of the blood types, A, B, AB or O.

The offspring will always carry the blood type of the father. As far as genetic combinations, they are almost endless.

they can have childrens of all ABO groups if they are of genotypes A/O and B/O. chances are 1/4 : AB 1/4:A/O (O is recessive so it gets a blood type A) 1/4 B/O 1/4 O/O.

this happenned to one of my friends, here mother is A, her father B, her brother AB, her sister O and herself, A.
