When I got mine, it hurts like hell for about a minute, then it turned into a dull ache which bothered me for the rest of the day. It was worth it though! If you want to know how it feels, take a pair of pliers and squeeze the top part of your belly button where the piercing goes. Don't bruise yourself though. Good luck! I've had my piercing for 6 years now and it has never given me any problems, I love it. Make sure to follow the cleaning instructions to the letter! You don't want to get infected.

Heck yes. They jam a nail-sized "needle" through two layers of skin and some tissue, and then ram in the ring. But then it's over and doesn't hurt much until a couple weeks later when it gets infected and starts growing puss bubbles. It's gross, but it's true. Be careful and take care of yourself if you decide to go with the piercing. And make sure you get it done at a clean place, not some dirty, shady joint. Needles are always dangerous territory.

I'm with you pg...I guess the more flesh that flashes...the more people have to figure out what do with it...it aint enough that we can see everyone's *** crack and underwear from behind, and from the bottom of your boobs to the crack of your crack...we have to tattoo and pierce it all too. Frankly I'm surprised no one has thought to use the available space for advertising purposes...just slap on the glue and notices and pay me $100 and it's a lot more practical no?

Frankly, I just don't understand why nose piercing hasn't taken off yet...you can dangle a lot more from your nose than your belly button and if you get a strong enough piercing you can probably hang your coat on it too.

Ignore Ricardo...he thinks he's a pin-cushion.

It's a shame that as a society we can come up with nothing better to do than pierce out bodies for the sake of beauty. I think all this piercing stuff really is a big turnoff.

HEY PGRAMA DUDE,

Humans have been piercing their bodies for thousands of years.... It's not something from our "society", it's more about our species!!

...and it's awesome!

Well lets see, lets think about this. You poke a needle through it. Unless they put anesthetic on it first, YES ;-)
